The number of strictly Belizean endemics is small. Belize
is a small country and does not have many habitats that
are unique to the country. Most endemics are found in the
Maya Mountains and in the Lowland Savannas of Belize.
This list is a tentative one. For example, there must be
many marine organisms and invertebrates that are endemic,
but I haven't yet tried to compile a complete list of these.
